
Indian carrier IndiGo is reportedly planning to establish a separate subsidiary company to start regional operations. A source with direct knowledge of the matter informed that IndiGo is planning to start a regional airline to connect small towns in the country using 70-80 seater ATR aircraft. The source said IndiGo promoter Rahul Bhatia recently held a meeting with some senior officials in the civil aviation ministry and shared a plan to start a subsidiary to operate on regional routes. read more
