Ratan Tata meets Ajit, denies any talks about proposed JV airline

Ratan Tata, the chairman emeritus of the slat-to-software Tata Group, on Friday met civil aviation minister Ajit Singh; triggering speculation that he might have discussed the launch of the proposed joint venture (JV) airline. Malaysia-based carrier AirAsia had recently announced its plans to set up a new low-fare airline, in partnership with Tata Sons and Telestra Tradeplace’s Arun Bhatia.
