In the early trade, rupee fell by 8 paise to Rs 44.90 per US dollar subject to rise in demand from importers and banks even though domestic equity markets are compact and dollar overseas has strengthen. Rupee has been pressurized due to strengthening of the dollar against some currencies overseas and arrival of new demand from importers and banks but the losses are restricted due to higher opening in the stock market, according to Forex dealers. read more
