New car sales jump 7% in November, but SIAM sees bad months ahead

Indian auto market witnessed an increase of 7 per cent in new car sales in November, figures released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) revealed. According to SIAM, car manufacturers sold a total of 1, 71,131 units during November this year as compared with 1, 59,939 in the corresponding period of last year. The industry body said that the increase was due to higher demand and a lower base in November last year. read more

Telecom Minister to Introduce ‘One Nation, Free Roaming’

While introducing the Draft New Telecom Policy, Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal claimed that the draft National Telecom Policy 2011 aims broadband on demand and also increasing `teledensity’ to significant level around 60% and then 100% by 2017 and 2020, respectively. Food Inflation Continues to Inflate

Sheila Dixit Faces Allegation on Spending Extra 31 Crore During CWG 2010
